How long does it take to get to the moon

Moon distance from earth: 380,000 km

1 year, 1 month and 2 weeks: The slowest mission: The ESA SMART-1 lunar probe : September 27th 2003 to November 11th 2004

Five days: China’s Chang’e-1 mission : October 31st to November 5th 2007 (Date of arrival in lunar orbit)

3 days, 3 hours, 49 minutes: Manned Apollo 11 mission : July 16th 1969 to July 19th 1969

36 hours: The first mission to the Moon - Soviet Luna 1 : January 4th 1959 (Only a flyby)

8 hours, 35 minutes: NASA’s New Horizons Pluto mission (New Horizons was not slowing down to enter lunar orbit; it was probably still accelerating with the moon behind it. It still took 8 hours, 35 minutes to cover the distance.)
